Our hope is that LearningXchange will be easy for teachers to use and will also provide easy access for our students and their parents. We are excited about creating a learning environment using technology that will be motivational to students and that will make them accountable for their own learning.

LXC will allow for a meaningful exchange of information about lessons, assignments, expectations and calendars between school and home. Additionally, we intend to change the classroom atmosphere by creating a technology-based, collaborative learning environment as students share computers, information, ideas and support with each other.

Using the Class Search option, you can locate teachers by their last name, by a student's AIDE letters; and for administrators, by the state course code or Volusia County section number. Throughout the 2007-2008 school year, course section data will be refreshed every Friday night.

• Teachers returning to Mainland should use their VCS username and their password from last year.
• New teachers will be supplied with a password by Mrs. Colwell at their introductory pre-planning workshop.
• Students should use their AIDE letters as their username and their birthdate as their password. For example, if you were born on February 4, 1991, then your password would be P910204.
• Parents should use their student's last name as their username and and their student's AIDE letters as their password.
